We welcome you to contribute and share your knowledge with Definedge community.
Guidelines
Your content can be in the form of book, blog, article, or interview. Here are a few guidelines that will help you to submit your work efficiently.
Original content only. Contributors or guest authors are responsible for the authenticity, uniqueness and accuracy of their submissions. This is part of our basic commitment to you. We will not publish articles from directories, bloggers’ archives or from any other source. You might find an article somewhere else that first appeared on Shelf, but it was to be original to be considered.
Authentic voice. In case of plagiarism in any submission, it will be rejected.
On topic. Any contribution made towards Shelf should be on topic and relevant to our site and audience.
Answer comments. Posts should not be promotional or advertorial. Please avoid unnecessary associations or integrations. We do not publish any company-specific news, press releases, or content that are similar to a press release.
Resources / Internal Links. This platform was built with a view of having interaction with readers. As a guest contributor/author, you will be expected to be available to answer the queries of readers in the comments, at least for the first 2 or 3 days after the post goes live.
Make an approach. We are partial to articles/blogs that give our readers resources to pursue on their own. Here at Shelf and our family websites, we have hundreds, maybe even thousands of articles that are likely relevant to the topic you’re writing. Make some time to inter-link your writeup to resources, whether they appear within your article, or in “Resource” section at the end. Readers will love you for that.
Formatting. We are most concerned with the quality of your content, but how you format it can make a big difference in how long it takes to get your article online. In short make your articles engaging and cut a long story short without compromising your idea of the post.
Follow these guidelines and email us at [email protected].
Our editorial team will review your writeup. If your writeup gets approved, we will help you with the editing.
We look forward to hearing from you. If your article is accepted for publication, We will email you and you will be awarded for your work.
